Testimonials
My friend told me he came to Thailand (Yanhee) for top surgery for a total of 15,000 NZD, including flights. He put me in contact with Sally (Authentic Self Australia), who got me an appointment at Yanhee with Dr. Chokchai. I couldn’t afford it in New Zealand (24,000 NZD). So my Mom told me she’ll come with me to Bangkok, and in the end, it cost us 10,000 NZD less for flights, plus surgery, plus accommodation compared to New Zealand. Since coming to Yanhee, I have received so much good care, and even though there was a language barrier, I was treated with smiles and respect the whole time. My English interpreter, who was with me for all my consults and exams, was amazing. Mr. Win made me feel comfortable and was very nice. I highly recommend Yanhee and Bangkok.
The hospital is amazing. Staff nurses, etc., are the best. I couldn’t recommend it enough. Really going to miss you all. So looking forward to my new journey.
The food was fantastic. Overall, I’m so very happy.
What an amazing experience! By far, the best surgical experience I’ve had in any country. Every person I interacted with was so helpful and spoke flawless English. I felt supported and reassured every step of the way and felt confident going into surgery. Dr. Chokchai was so patient and answered all of my questions, and came in on his day off to check on me after the surgery. It’s a very early stage but I am already very happy with the results. One thing that I especially appreciated was how much communication there was. Every day, someone (a nurse or a patient coordinator) would tell me what to expect (schedule for meals, medications, checkups, cleaning, etc.) The recovery room was perfect and well-insulated so I could sleep during the day, and the view of the river was stunning. The hospital food was delicious and had many options for any dietary restrictions. The nurses were all incredibly kind, patient, helpful and sweet at every hour of the day. The quality and amount of chart and record keeping was immaculate; my blood pressure and vitals were taken very frequently so I felt confident that if I had started declining, it would have been caught right away. They checked my wrist label and asked me to confirm my name every time so there was no risk ever of getting mixed up with any other patient.
I had virtual consultations with 8 doctors in total in the US, Turkey, and Thailand. I decided to go with Dr. Chokchai at Yanhee for a few reasons. Sunny, my International Patient Coordinator, was extremely helpful and responsive over emails before my booking and gave a lot more information about what to expect for the procedure at Yanhee. Dr. Chokchai’s recommendation was the most conservative which made me feel like he was most considering my body type and desired outcome versus other doctors (outside of Thailand) who pushed for more drastic procedures. I originally was not too excited about flying two days each way to get to Yanhee from the middle of the US, but it absolutely was worth the trip and I’d recommend the same for anyone going abroad for a procedure. I’ve done medical tourism before but Yanhee was by far the best and I don’t think I’ll ever go anywhere else.
As a bonus, it feels very common for people to come here for procedures, so there are well-stocked hotels literally next door for you to continue your recovery.
The staff in all areas of the hospital were very friendly and helpful. The Dr. explained the procedure very well and referred me to a blood specialist to make sure I was okay due to my blood diseases. The nurses have been excellent and looked after me very well. I had issues with my banking payment and the cashiers helped me to sort this out. The International Liaisons are so helpful with all my questions and found out all the information I needed. Overall, it was a very pleasant experience and I would recommend to others.
Thank you to Dr. Chokchai and all of the staff including nurses at Yanhee Hospital. You went above and beyond expectations to care for me and make sure I had the best hospital procedures and stay. I can’t thank you enough for everything you did for me.
Everyone has been so friendly and helpful. There were plenty of people who could translate my needs from English to Thai. Even then, almost everyone could understand what I wanted or needed. I also loved how my room had a small safe for my wallet and a locking drawer for other personal items. The food was amazing and I looked forward to every meal even if I couldn’t finish it.
My only negative comment is honestly not that big a problem, but it was mildly annoying, and that is the sheet that covers the mattress. It constantly came untucked, and I would have to fix it. However, it did get me moving more. Overall, I highly recommend Yanhee.
My experience at Yanhee International Hospital was exceptional. The nursing staff’s compassionate care and Dr. Chokchai’s expertise made me feel safe and confident despite my nerves. Thanks to their exceptional support, my surgery has been a success so far. Thanks also to the international services who checked up on me again and again and gave me confidence and reliability.
I am really pleased with the service I have had at Yanhee. All nurses, doctors, and staff were extremely helpful and friendly. I am considering coming back for any future surgeries and will recommend Yanhee to all. Kind regards.
I’m happy that Dr. Chokchai gave very specific and straightforward advice in the beginning and I feel that he did a great job on my surgeries. I’m very happy with the results.
The nurses and staff were all very helpful and friendly. I’m very grateful for their help while I’m in the hospital. The room was nice and very clean.
Kay Thi, International Coordinator, was happy to discuss my personal wants for my operations with the surgeon. Always promptly replied with a clear explanation and costs. Excellent service. Praew, the Interpreter, removed the language barrier smoothly and effortlessly with each person I saw at the admission floor. A very empathic, caring, and kind person. Theresa at the level 4 payment counter, is another very empathic, caring, and kind person. I had endless trouble with Mebank. I cannot thank Praew and Theresa for going out of their way to console me and reach a solution. Dr. Chokchai was a very empathic doctor when he became aware that my Mebank could not deliver – pay my hospital account. He had to cancel the operation and reschedule my operation for the following day. Thank you. The doctor explained the procedures clearly to me. He was obviously very experienced as he explained what the markings on my body meant and what would be the expected outcome. Dr. Chokchai visited me every day, except one, and explained bruising and swelling were normal at this stage and improvement in both would be more noticeable from day 4. I took photos daily and could easily see the daily improvement. Excellent care. A kind and caring doctor. Thank you.
International Liaison Staff Jo Ann, Kirsten, Jee – The ladies established and maintained excellent communication between myself and all members of the staff including the doctor. They were very knowledgeable with the procedures I had, explained and reassured me daily during my recovery in the hospital, and what to expect in the coming days, weeks, and months. Nothing was too much trouble. Everything I asked was relayed to the staff and the staff always attended quickly. Thank you ladies.
Nursing staff – excellent and professional care. Kind and gentle. Buzzers answered in seconds and would come to my room quickly. Personal care was excellent. Clean sheets and towels were given as required.
Cleaning and food staff – pleasant and polite. Excellent service. The food was a great selection and delicious.
Staff are more kind, caring, and gentle in Thailand compared to Australia.
My only fault is I found the bed mattress very hard. Maybe a soft covering over the mattress would help. In Australia, all beds have an extra soft mattress cover.
I scheduled an arm lift at Yanhee Hospital. During my research, I selected 3 major hospitals in Bangkok. The other two hospitals had very poor communication. Sunny Moreno, with Yanhee, was excellent, very thorough, clear, and gave complete details about the procedure. There was a last-minute schedule change, but Sunny gave me confidence that he was managing it, and I was relieved. The communication before my procedure was excellent. My surgeon Dr. Chokchai was also very clear with me, did a detailed review of my case, and he set realistic expectations for results and recovery. I would also like to commend nurse Dina; she is both kind and efficient.
I highly recommend the hospital and team. I’m very satisfied.
I am glad that I chose Yanhee Hospital for Mastectomy. Dr. Chokchai was kind and explained the surgery in detail. And, nurses were kind and took care of me 24 hours. Meals and appetizers were fresh and delicious. Yanhee Hospital has a systematic procedure. They also have translators. Thus, I have no difficulties. And, my scars are very pretty. I appreciate everything.
Dr. Chokchai was very helpful and aware of my needs. He visited daily which meant any issues were attended to fast, very nice manner.
Nurses: Very helpful and assisted me upon request as well as just about anything else: eating, walking, showering, dressing, medication—I felt very cared for.
International Care Staff: They supplied me with a lot of useful information and knowledge daily which is much appreciated during my stay. Very helpful.
The Hospital staff –from the nurses, administration, food services, cleaners, theatre staff, Dr. Chokchai, the international nurses—you are all amazing. I couldn’t have asked for better care.
Everyone made this life-changing journey special and I can’t thank you enough. For anyone considering taking the plunge like I did, you won’t be disappointed. This hospital and its staff are world-class.
Thank you.
From admission to discharge the care and assistance I received at this hospital was flawless. Staff at all levels are delightful, smiling, and caring.
If in the future, I would like to return to Bangkok for further surgery, Yanhee will be my first port of call.
Everything was amazing. I can’t fault any service I received while at Yanhee. Dr. Chokchai was very informative and thorough, and I appreciated him checking on me everyday. Every nurse was super kind and caring at all times. They definitely made me feel safe while in a vulnerable state. I appreciated the international nurses who made an effort to check on me while also respecting me when talking to others or sleeping. Even down to the food delivery, the lady noticed I enjoyed bananas so she made a special request for me. I have loved everything about my stay here.
Very professional, great hospital and staff, but I found some difficulties with communication. When you come to an international hospital, you expect that nurses and doctors can speak English within the scope of their work responsibilities. Everything else is just perfect. I’m very grateful to the doctor and Yanhee Hospital.
Everyone at Yanhee Hospital was incredibly polite, helpful, and kind to me during my stay. Before surgery, the staff who assisted me and translated for me were very kind, made sure to learn my name, and told me whatever I wanted to know.
The surgical team was amazing, very gentle, and made me feel safe, even when I was very nervous. The nurses and staff who cared for me post-op were lovely, efficient, and gentle. I was scared and in pain but they did everything I asked and took things slowly to try and make it as painless as possible. My questions were always answered and I have been cared for well. Thank you 9C nurses.
I liked the private, spacious room with a great view. I feel I had everything explained well and in English. Everyone honored my gender; and all staff were lovely, friendly, kind, and gentle. Dr. Chokchai gave me options and explained potential outcomes and I didn’t feel nervous.
Helpful that Mum could stay in the room too and could order room service.
Suggest – the gender assessments are outdated but psychs still referred to my gender and were nice.
I never felt lost as the staff would take us to every next step.
During a week in here, I feel the experience that I never felt before in another hospital starting from the humble staff and nurses and then the amazing facility given to me. Other than that, the food in the hospital is delicious and cheap. But the bed is a little bit stiff, so when sleeping, my body is a little bit uncomfy. Overall, it’s good. Thank you to all the staff and nurses and also the doctor.
The staff at Yanhee International Hospital were amazing to deal with from start to finish. Dr. Chokchai and his team were very patient, compassionate, and very informative with any questions I had.
I felt very well looked after, and the entire team at Yanhee were exceptionally professional which gave me peace of mind knowing I would be taken care of.
Would 100 percent recommend anyone to Yanhee International Hospital!
